Added a hit counter in the link bar as long as a links page. I created a blank option just to keep the page looking ok; it will go somewhere someday, haven't decided where. I added four pictures on the family page--3 old pictures of me and a picture of my brother and I a few years ago. Seth started Storm Chase 2008 so I am looking forward to getting pictures and such. Looked like a lot of storm activity in Kansas where he was at last night. Adding the hit counter caused some problems resulting in a unpleasant solution of creating a second include file for asp docs in another directory. I COULD make one file with conditional directory checking but I am lazy. I expect to get a live news updater this holiday weekend as well as the forums page up and running. The forums is turning out to be a lot work.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I had upgraded the web page to all include files for ease of editing. I just added some pictures of the latest family addition, Niko. She is of the next years litter from Cortez and Misha's parents. We have decided that this is the last furball in our family. We have more poop and food expense than we require. Good news is that Janis i taking in Niko as her own--we were very surprised at this as Janis is from a different background. Another surprise is that Cortez and Misha absolutely hate Niko and we have to watch them. Misha has already swung at her once or twice. Poor defenseless little kitten... Chewy is just weird--he is very interested and goes into a licking spree of cleaning the kitty (like Janis) but is not as graceful as Janis and basically launches her with every slop of the tongue. Niko does not seem afraid of any of the other pets which is good and bad. Anyways, there are few pictures of Niko and one more of Janis put on the pet pictires page. Enjoy our little kitty pics!

I added the pictures pages for family and fun and made a few changes to the guestbook. I will probably add the guestbook as a link on the side as people are unable to find it through Forums.

So I finally got rick-rolled this past week then ironically the episode of Family Guy where Brian performs the song (back to the future style) at the dance where Peter and Lois get together came on TV. Chewy is doing very well with his training; we kept him in the box for a week and he would go when we took him outside. Last night we left him out (on a leash) and he was fine. He even lets us know when he wants to go out. We will continue training for a week to make sure the deed is done. He also has a nasty coughing/choking spell he goes into that I want to get checked out. I currently assume it is because of three shedding cats whom leave a trail of fur like Hansel and Gretel.
Grand Theft Auto 4 is out! I will buy it this weekeend when I get paid again. Have to catch up on bills with all the unexpected/expected bills that came in March/April. I haven't been working on the site much as when I am home, JEss likes to spend time with me; which always has priority.

I decided that I will add several games to the site--simple JavaScript/Java games like poker and blackjack. I think these will be fun projects. I want to learn how to import Java into the web as I am probably most comfortable with Java at the moment. I am currently also reviewing CCNA material and hope to have the certification by the end of the summer. I also enrolled in CSC201 at GCC for the fall which will transfer to ODU as IT 210; I believe it is a beginner C++ course.

I am currently up all night waiting for Jessica to get home--she had to work late. In the draining hours of the morning, I decided to take on the guestbook forums. The guestbook has now been added and works great; however, I do have one problem with the formatting that I am still trying to figure out. I will try to get the rest of the picturestaken care of tonight. I got so happy with the guestbook that I lost sight of other goals for tonight. Anyways, I will work on perfecting it-and eventually I will develop a bulletin board. Will not be that difficult now that I have file read/write figured out. After that, it's database time! My hosting service allows 10 MS Access and 1 MY SQL databases... ooo the possiblities.

It has dawned on us that our beloved Chewy has not been house-broken. The spare bedroom has been his poop bin and my pillow his fire-hydrant. (Man was that a rude awakening). We have began to crate train him using a cat carrier. We have set a walk and meal schedule that he will soon learn. Chewy will learn to not go potty in the house or on my pillow... I walked him this morning and he did his business outside--so far so good. The end of the semester is approaching and my hours are getting packed with sessions. It feels good to be there for other people. I am planning on taking a GCC course this summer to stay in the habit--haven't decided which one yet. I also added a generic page to the programming and music pages just as filler. I will be performing more on them as the week goes. I also would like to get the rest of the pictures up.

This is the general layout of the site. I think that it is going well; I am pleased with the layout and design. I am working on getting something up for each page already linked besides an "Under Construction" sign. I have added the pet pictures page and the news page is under progress (obviously). The forums will probably be the last thing I get to because it will be the hardest to create.
